BENITO MUSSOLINI

The photograph below, taken in April 1945, shows the dead body of Mussolini hanging by his feet, (closest to camera) In a Milan square. He is surrounded by crowds of people eager to see his corpse. It was left like this as an object of ridicule. If you look closely at the back of his head, there appears to be a gunshot wound. Mussolini was shot and killed by Italian partisans in April 1945.
